Guidance for Job Applicants

This information is to help you in making a successful application for work at The Perse School.

All applications to work at The Perse School, the Perse Prep School or the Perse Pelican School must be made on our Application Form. Completed applications are submitted to the HR department. The form must be completed in full and we cannot accept a CV instead.

The School is legally required to carry out a number of pre-appointment checks which are detailed in the School's Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy and Procedure. The information you are being asked to provide in this form is required so that the School can comply with those legal obligations should your application be successful.

When applying online you will need to have the necessary information ready in order to complete your application in one go, as you will not be able to save the form to continue with later. Upon completion you will be sent a confirmation email with a copy of what you have submitted.

You may find it helpful to prepare details such as your personal statement, then copy and paste it into the online form. The Personal Statement section is for you to give your reasons for applying and why you believe you are suitable for the position. You should study the job description and person specification and describe any relevant experience and skills you have gained in other jobs or similar environments which demonstrate your ability and aptitude to undertake the duties of the post, giving examples where possible. Please note that there is a limit of 10,000 characters for the personal statement.
